An Information and Resources area for patients will be available in the new Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre that is on track  to open for patients in mid 2012.

If you want more information about your current condition, treatment options, wellness programs and support services, or any other topic, please ask your doctor, nurse or any other members of your health care team.

  • The Cancer Council provides information and support to individuals living with cancer, their families and friends. They also have information in several languages.   • The Virtual Cancer Centre website has been developed by Australian cancer specialists working in oncology, haematology, palliative care, surgery, pharmacy and nursing. With information on diagnosis, treatment and support for cancer patients, their families and for health professionals.
  • A quick search option on the Virtual Cancer Centre site locates information about specific cancers, drugs or symptoms. There is also a section reviewing the latest cancer news and research.   • The National Cancer Institute website (United States) provides comprehensive information for people affected by cancer and health care professionals.
  • Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC), part of Austin Health Cancer Services, is closely involved with the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research - Melbourne Branch. The Centre conducts a wide variety of cancer clinical trials, and has an international reputation for excellence. The Melbourne Fire Brigade's Thomastown branch have been supporting our Centre's fundraising appeal over the last few years. Fireman Scott Morrison (pictured in the hat) has survived cancer twice and hopes to raise as much as possible for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal.
