– A tearful Olivia and John faced a wrenching farewell in China on Sunday after he received news from the US that his sister-in-law does not have long to live.

- First day walking for new team members Dannii Minogue, Annalise Braakensiek, Amy Sky, Keiren Perkins, Mike Goldman, Anton DuBeke, Martina Laird and Toyah Wilcox.

- The walkers will trek in the Gobi Desert for the first time, with extreme temperatures all in one day.
